We are getting EGGcited for Easter!

We did another egg hunt at the Fountain Hill's city park.

There wasa huggable Easter Bunny to visitover 15,000 eggs to hunt - eying up the first egg she is going to pick upthe experienced egg hunter - picks up one in each hand at the same timeafter 30 seconds it was all over - look at all those eggs!and decorating a cookie to take home.

Auntie Sage comes to visit

Auntie Sage has been here the last few days visiting from California. I am guessing that Lexi doesn't remember her from a year and a half ago but it was just like old friends. In fact, the last two mornings she has asked if Auntie Sage is coming over to play today. We had a lot of fun with Auntie Sage and wish she lived closer!

Bumble Bee Ranch

We took a drive to Bumble Bee Ranch, today. The event was sponsored by HopeKids. It was such a fun and relaxing day. They took antique photos of the families (I'll post it later), horseback rides, hummer tours, archery, face painting, crafts, a BBQ cookout, petting zoo, bouncers, and rock climbing. Baby Girl

We had a doctor's appointment today with Lexi's cardiologist. Because of Lexi's heart condition it was suggested and advised that we have a fetal echo done on the baby while in utero. We are very blessed and happy to say that our littlest baby girl is heart healthy and had a very good doctor's visit. Thank you Lord! It's incredible how much they are able to see when the heart is only the size of a kidney bean. She had a heartbeat today of 145. Baby girl is very active. She likes to do tap dances all night long. We may have to call her "Tiny Little Dancer". One of my favorite things about being pregnant is feeling the baby move. Words can't describe how truly blessed we are!

We are "Getting Ready for Preschool"

Today was Lexi's first day of Pre-Preschool. It's a class that we attend once a week to try and prepare her for what is coming this fall. Let's just say, that I am glad we joined the class because we totally don't understand sit in your seat and raise your hand to be called on OR how to really listen to instructions from the teacher. Ms. Angie is very patient with the little ones, constantly reminding them to take a seat. Hopefully, at the end of week 7 if we have learned nothing else other than how to act at preschool we will have done good.singing head, shoulders, knees, and toesThere she standing up and shouting out the answer to the question while the little girl next to her sits and raises her hand.

NICU Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Every year, the NICU that Lexi was in when she was born hosts an Easter egg hunt for the NICU graduates. It is always so much fun . . . there are tons of eggs for every kid, lots of prizes to win, games to play, photos with the Easter Bunny, and food to eat. Festival of the West

Today, Lexi and I made a visit to our first Festival of the West. It was kid's day, so we visited the kid themed booths. We got to see some horses, real tee-pees, and how things were done in the west many years ago. There were many kid's activities to choose from so Lexi decided on making a craft, the petting zoo, train ride, & the bouncer. We had an ultrasound today and found out that the next addition to our family will be a sweet little girl! She looks healthy and is measuring right on schedule for a due date of Aug. 17. She is already very active and moved the entire ultrasound. Today she had a heart rate of 153 and showed us numerous times that she is a girl. She's been kicking her mommy a lot lately. Lexi is still calling her a boy and isn't too sure that she wants a baby sister. I guess we have a few months to prepare her for a girl. Watch out daddy, it's more pink bows and tu-tus at our house!

Family Trip to the Science Center

This morning we went to visit the Arizona Science Center for our very first visit! Lexi is still pretty young to understand a lot of it, but she did have fun discovering a few things.

Another cute story: Lexi went to children's church for the first time on Sunday and the teacher asked the kids what they did on Spring Break. Some of the kids raise their hands and when the teacher calls on them they tell her where they went. Well, Lexi raises her hand and blurts out as loud as she can "I'm going to be the big sister!". The teacher just smiled and praised her. I am sure there are going to be lots of fun more quotes in the next 5 months.

"I want to play soccer ball, Mommy!"

Tonight, Lexi was given the opportunity to go meet the Kansas City Wizards professional soccer team. I didn't know how she would do since she is only 2.5 but the players were awesome with her. Team Huddle before the game They showed her how to kick a goal and helped her kick the ball in a scrimmage match.
She may not have gotten a lot out of it fundamentally, but the point was for her to go out and have fun. She had a blast kicking the ball around!
