Little Fish

Today, Lexi began swim lessons. Last year, her swim lesson report card said she was ready to advance to the next class so we registered her for the Preschool lessons. She is the youngest one in her class because it is suppose to be for 3 & 4 year olds, but she is doing good keeping up with the older ones. And mommy no longer participates - it is the instructor and the kids. I was a little nervous the first day but she soon realized after swallowing some water that she needs to listen to the teacher and has done awesome ever since.practicing their kicksRing-a-round the rosie (this is cute, when they are suppose to go under, it's only the lifeguards that actually go under and all the kids' heads are still above water).

Behind the scenes at the train park

This morning we went on a behind the scenes tour of the train park. This was something that daddy had been wanting to do with Lexi. I think daddy got the most out of the tour and Lexi had the most fun riding the train and carousel!

ringing the bell on Engine #10
Lexi's friend Sophie joined us for the tour, too.

Precious Moments

Today, Lexi came up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, gave me a kiss, and said, "I love you, Mommy!" My heart just melted and I wanted the moment to last forever. She is just now finally saying "I love you, too" when you say you love her. These are words that every parent waits for the first time for their child to say and then cherishes each time they say them again. Lexi, I love spending every day with you little love bug!

HOPPY EASTER!!

We did our final organized Easter egg hunt yesterday. It was at a local supermarket. All dressed up in a pretty spring dress and hat!checking out her eggs
Saying hello again to the Easter Bunny
After the egg hunt we went to the bakery and decorated an Easter cake to have for dessert with tomorrow's Easter feast. And the silly Easter bunny was there, too.
She wanted to write a note to the Easter Bunny and leave it with some milk and carrots.
The Easter bunny left two little baskets for the girls and a whole bunch of eggs to be hunted all over the house and in the back yard.
She did pretty good handling the fact that "baby sister" had a basket, too. The only things that interested her were the stuffed bunny rabbit and "yellow chocolate duck". She said "baby sister will share with me!" Tearing her basket apart to find new books, movies, play-d*h, sand toys, hair bows, bubble bath, clothes, and a chocolate bunny!
She was so excited to hunt the eggs, every egg she found she would say, "Here's another egg, Mommy!" Pleasantly surprised to see "Skit*les" in the egg when she opened it!"Are there anymore eggs, Mommy?" All done hunting eggs and time to get dressed for church. The only semi-good picture I got of her in her "Easter dress".

Garbage Truck Tour

Today, we went to see the trash truck. It was a recycling day for our city so we saw lots of recyclables being dumped and learned what is and what is NOT recyclable in our city. The highlight was sitting in the driver's seat of the truck.
