Jump, Jump, Jump

We attended Brady's 3rd birthday party today at Pump It Up. Lexi loves the bounce parties. It was our second one in a couple of months so she knew the drill and was thrilled to go to "another jumping party".

"Daddy rides a motorcycle"

Today, daddy rode in a charity ride to help raise money for HopeKids. The ride was organized by Valerie Thompson's racing team (female professional drag racing motorcyclist). Lexi and mommy met daddy and some of the other riders at the start line to help represent HopeKids.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

We don't have too many windy days in Arizona, but there was some wind today. Lexi flew her first kite today and she was so excited to do it all by herself! I do think that Lexi's $1 store Strawb*rry Shortc@ke did a better job flying than daddy's $9 Elm@ kite.

Swim Lessons

Today, was the last day of swim lessons with Ms. Meghan. Lexi is sad they are over. She had so much fun this session and really learned a lot from Ms. Meghan. We are hoping to be able to do them again one more time this summer if our schedule allows.waiting for the last lessonLexi kicking her feet, "like a mermaid" she tells me.taking a break on the floaty with her classmatesgetting ready to jump in the water

Bye-bye, diaper bottom . . .

hello, big girl panties! Last week, was the end of the diapers so we told Lexi it was time and she has done an awesome job at potty training. There have been some tears, lots of prizes, but mostly just dry panties. We are so proud of her. She is even waking us up in the middle of the night to go to the potty. We pulled out the "trip to Disneyland" as our last resort for motivation and it worked. She can't wait to show the princesses her potty chart with all her stickers. We will be over in CA for a long weekend in June so we are going to visit Disneyland for a "potty party" to reward her for a job well done!
While Lexi learned how to go on the potty, mommy learned that some of life's most challenging obstacles bring some of life's greatest times and memories. It was hour 8 on potty training day 1 and we had been spending most of our time in mommy's bathroom on the hard tile floor playing games, play-doh, homework, puzzles, etc. when Lexi came over to me and gave me a great big hug and said, "You're the best mommy ever! I love you!" It not only made my heart melt, but it made all the stressing over potty training and the last 8 hours on the hard tile floor totally worthwhile."Yeah, I did it! The princesses are going to be so proud of me!"Thank you, Grandma Sue and Auntie Deb for sending me new panties, food for my kitchen, & a tea set. Let me know when you want to come over for a tea party!

Cinderella Ballet

Today, Lexi and mommy went to the Cinderella Ballet. It was an amazing performance and after the show we received a back-stage tour, including meeting the dancers. Lexi was a little disappointed she wasn't able to meet the mice.Lexi with Autumn, Spring, & Winter

Lexi's 1st Baseball Game

Tonight, we went to watch the D'backs play the Dodgers. We had a good time as a family. Lexi enjoyed the snacks and crowd entertainment.
Putting the empty popcorn box on her head was by far the most fun she had the whole evening!

Mother's Day 2010!

It was a great Mother's Day weekend at our house. Yesterday, Lexi and I joined other HopeKids and moms for a Glamour Day. We got our finger & toe nails painted, as well as, our hair and make-up done. She was most excited about getting her make-up done before we got there and then was a little scared it was going to hurt once it was time.Just like her mommy, pedicures tickle! She picked out princess pink polish with sparkles! After we were all glamorized we had some photos taken by a professional photographer.
Today, they surprised me with breakfast at one of our favorite local breakfast & lunch restaurants and then it was home to get ready for church. In the late afternoon, Lexi and daddy treated me to a nice dinner. It was great ~ no cooking and no dishes! Lexi picked out an awesome balloon & beautiful roses!Mommy & baby sister on Mother's Day! (25 weeks)Big kisses for mommy from Lexi, the big sisterThank you Lexi and daddy for giving me a mother's day to remember! Also, want to thank my mom and mother-in-law for all that they have done for us and all they continue to do for us! Being a mom is a hard but rewarding job!

Baby Girl

We had an ultrasound this morning and baby girl is weighing in at 1 lb. & 11 oz. and is measuring just a couple days past her due date. She had a heart rate of 157 and didn't stop moving the entire time. We didn't get any pictures to share but I will post some belly shots soon. Lexi was the commentator for the ultrasound of baby sister telling us everything she saw on the screen ("I see baby sister's foot & hand", "look at her eyes, mommy").

Little Bookworm

Lexi loves to fill her time with reading her books. I should have recorded a video, because she does a really good job at telling the stories through the pictures and her memory (because of course, we read every book at least a dozen times in a row).
